I need a daily, per transaction, number on sales receipts

I need a per transaction number on sales receipts, whether it's digital or paper. For instance, first sale Number would be #01, next sale #02,etc.

Is there a way to do this?

If you go on your dashboard through the web and choose the date or dates you want it will tell you how many transactions you had in a day, or follow the below link:
