I suppose you could, but I would not recommend it. What if the debit card you go to link doesn’t work with Square or any other reason and then your money is stuck.

So I would link a bank account now so that you get your next day deposits for free.

I defiantly plan to do so. However at the moment I only have a prepaid debit card. It does not work. I will be going to the bank Tuesday to get an acceptable card to use. Is there a specific bank that works well with Square?

to do free next business day deposits you need a checking account at a bank. I don't think that you can use a debit card except for instant deposit which costs more.
