Does square have the ability to enter expenses and also cash deposits?

yes, Square is a complete Point of Sale system and will track cash and credit cards and checks.

you can track some item expenses with Square for retail which is a premium service that costs $60 per month per register but is not for running all the business expenses thru.

to keep track of expenses you might want to use something like QuickBooks or a spreadsheet.
