Is there a cash drawer compatible with the terminal?

I have a terminal for card transactions, but want to start using it for cash transactions as well. Can I just purchase a cash drawer for it?

Hey there Statefairfoods,

Good question ... assuming you are referring to the Square Terminal (the all-in-one credit card machine for your business) - per the info on Square's Hardware - their Cash Drawer is compatible with:

Square Stand

Square Register

Square Terminal (USB connection requires Hub for Square Terminal, sold separately)

Android devices with USB port

You would need to purchase the Hub - it's designed to connect accessories such as a cash drawer, bar code scanner, or external receipt printer to Square Terminal. You can also use it to connect your Terminal to the internet via Ethernet.

Please Note: We use the Square POS App with an iPad, Stand, Receipt Printer and USB Hub which all works great together. We have not used the Terminal, Hub and Cash drawer however, from everything we have read on Square's Hardware Site states that you can do what you have in mind.
