Similar situation here (but grooming people): the customer books an appointment for their own hair and books another for their child. Instead of adding the child's service to the parent's checkout, I'd like to group the two appointments for checkout.

If we could (as requested elsewhere on this site 2 years ago) have the option to save the first service as an open ticket and merge the two together it would be a huge time saver.

One parent and child isn't a big deal, but sometimes parents will bring all their kids at once and we've got 3 or more kids getting their hair cut while mom's color is processing. Checking out now means we have to add each kids cut or service to one of the existing appointments which means individual client history for services performed is all tied to the client that paid.

Appointments an option for "Open Ticket" along with "Checkout"?

In Appointments, when an appointment is made and the customer comes in and you click on their appointment is would be AWESOME if there was an option to "Open A Ticket" instead of just going to "Check Out".

For us, dog grooming business, if a customer makes an appointment and brings in their dog, we would go to the appointment and click on it to start the sales process. But the only option is to "Checkout". #lame

Our work around is to leave the appointment and manually start a ticket and redo everything that was in the appointment which lengthens the process...in front of our customer who's tapping their foot waiting on us. 😄

I'm sure that the amazingly talented Square developers could easily create a "Open A Ticket" button right next to the "Checkout" button. It's just a few lines of code, right? 😄

These updates would help streamline our business, and others I'm sure, as well as make Square better, wouldn't you say? 😄

Who's with me! 😄

Cheers,

Kev

Hello again @EvilMime! Sorry for causing any #lame moments at your business.

Are you using Open Tickets to keep track of additional grooming services your customers select for their pets? You can add more services (and items too) to an Appointment before you go to checkout. To do this:

Select the appointment from your Calendar.

Tap Edit in the upper right.

Tap Add a Service to add a service.

Tap Save in the upper right.

Hope this helps but please let us know if you're looking for something different so we can share your feedback with the Appointments team.
