It seems like this is something simple but I have yet to figure it out. Ok so for example let's say I sell Hot Dogs, but I have 3 variations:

Plain Hot Dog

Chili Cheese Dog

Chicago Dog

What I'm trying to do is have them pull from the same base hot dog (without the bun) inventory. If I create an item, just a plain hot dog for example, and I input 100 in stock, the issue is when I sell a Chili Cheese Dog that doesn't pull from the inventory so now the system thinks I still have 100 hot dogs.

I've created the item Hot Dog, but when I add variations it requires inventory/stock for each variation. I can't make sense of it. The Hot Dog is what it is, I have 100 (for example), the variations should pull from that 100.

Seems like a good system for selling t-shirts, because the variations for small, medium, large needing inventory makes sense. But for food I can't figure it out.
