Is it possible to enter vendors in the excel upload? (Or add other fields as well?)

I am about to set up a new shop with a friend who wants to use Square (I currently use Revel Systems POS for my boutique). I see that I can upload some information via excel, but it does not seem to have a field to add the vendor for the items. Do I seriously have to go back and enter my vendors manually for all of my items? (Im over 3000 line items... so this could be a huge problem)

Is it possible to enter vendor or other information via the excel upload?

I'm certain that you cannot add fields to a CSV file and upload it without errors.

We use the "Category" field to identify vendors, but we also assign each vendor a 2-3 digit number which is added to the beginning of each item's SKU... So really, we don't need to use the Category, but we still do for some reason... If you needed the Category field for something more appropriate, maybe you could use the Notes to identify a vendor?

Using the sku wont work for us as were going to have to use that for barcoding ...
