I am opening a retail shoe store. i need answers/experience for the following items :
* square iPad and square stand
* able to take all credit cards
* able to sell and take gift cards
* able to enter and review inventory
* able to do e-commerce ( i bought a web site already thru go daddy) based on my inventory levels
* able to send text alerts to my customers

everything you listed will be fine except the Square messaging is based on email rather than text, though you can text receipts.

we have 3 iPads and square Stands and love them.

all major credit and debit cards are handled at the same low rate.

I don't use inventory features but they are there.
