Testing charges using Sandbox

Hi, friends of Square.

I'm trying to test some charges using Sandbox credentials, but it seems to me that I cannot do that unless the clients I'm using in the test was created also using Sanbox credentials.

If that's so, then I'll have to create a sandbox account for each "real" account. Is my understanding correct?

With that in mind, I created a sandbox account but I was unable to link a credit card to it. In order to do that I have to use the sqpayment form. I'm using the form but only to register "real" accounts. I don't want to ask the client to fill out the form twice.

I'm really confused. If you can please shed some light here I'd apreaciate it.

Hi @luenib - Unfortunately you're correct in your thinking. Sandbox and production are two separate entities, so you can't see customers from Sandbox while in Production and vice-versa. There's no way to create a customer with a card on file in both Sandbox and Production at the same time, because it requires the appropriate nonce.
