Anyone w/ experience setting up & tracking inventory for a used book store using a barcode scanner?

We operate our coffee house using a Square POS system. We would like to start selling used books at our cafe. Will a bar code scanner allow me to automatically enter books into the Square POS system and keep track of our inventory?

As for your question, we don't currently offer the ability to enter item details automatically with a bar code scanner, but there is a bulk import option: Import Items Online. Rest assured that I'll be surfacing your request with our Point of Sale team. We're always considering improvements based on seller feedback.

If other sellers have experience to offer, feel free to chime in with any insight.

Hi there, I'm having the same problem with massive inventory for a fabric store. I have figured out the import library option but now I don't know how to make it correspond to the existing barcodes on products.

In summary:

I've imported all of our inventory into our library. However, how do I get the barcodes on the products to correspond to the items that are now made?

WHen I scan products in the pos nothing happens, nothings pops up.
