How can I record a transaction with no payment?

I have a mobile pizza business, from time to time I will give a friend or someone else a free pizza, but I want to record it so I know how many pizzas we made...is there a good way to record the transaction even if there is no payment?

you could do the transaction regularly and then apply a 100% discount to record the sale or comp the pizza.

When are you going to add a paid invoice for someone who wants a receipt?

I would like to keep all my paid receipts on square but not all my patients pay by credit card. When are you going to just add an adaption Paid if a client doesn't use a credit card and not have to send them an invoice then another one for paid.

Please make this simpler.

I tried this using the web based format where I added in the item I sent as a "Secret Sister" gift with a 100% discount added at the item level and I still received the "Invoice total must be between $1.00 and $50k" alert. Is there something different that needs to be done when using square via computer?

I own and operate a salon.

If we run out of a stying product that our stylists using on clients we will pull one from the shelf.

I need to pay tax on my wholesale price and have the system register that.

I am not sure how to do that without it looking like a sale and then recording that I made a sale on the wholesale price in order to record the tax.... does this make sense?

I went ahead and merged your post to an existing thread where other Square Sellers have discussed recording a sale/transaction without payment. This same idea would apply to recording tax as well.
