Is there a way to make a service charge automatic?

I'm trying to figure out if I can make the service charge automatic when I go to check someone out. I know the tax does but I didn't know if there was a way to make a service charge the same way.

Hello @LTacker21 !

Looks like an automatic service charge is something Square is still working on unfortunately.

From their help file:

Can I automatically apply a service charge to all card transactions?

Not at this time. You will need to manually add the service charge in the cart checkout during each sale via your Square POS app.

I understand this is something you are looking into, but it needs to be an enhancement asap. We're having to collect service charges via adding a second sales tax. In NC, we have to pay sales tax on service charges. Since it's set up as a sales tax, we can't collect sales tax on a sale tax. It needs to be automatic because we process hundreds of transactions per day and do not want to place that burden on our baristas to remember to manually add the service charge with each transaction. Please enhance to make it automatic.
