Can a 'Pay In/Out' button be created on the checkout screen?

I am looking for a way to add a 'button' to the register/checkout screen for completing a standard payout? Specifically, during the course of business we have a need to regularly 'payout' of the drawer a standard amount of money. I know I can go to reports > current drawer and perform a payin/out function but was hoping that someone had found a way to make this into a button. This would allow our cashiers (who are volunteer and not always the same people) to handle payouts as easily as they handle accepting cash for sales.

Currently we don't offer the pay in/pay out function on the check out screen for Point of Sale.

This might be possible if you're interested in building your own app using our API.
