Expected Cash in Drawer different than expected due to human error

We just started using Square Register, so far we haven't had this problem yet, but how do we deal with the cash being under or over? I see the difference at the bottom of the totals, but does the difference change the total to be deposited or does it cause the $100 we start with go down/up?

your cash in drawer will have no effect on what Square deposits into your account. It will affect your cash deposit to your local bank though, so you must count your cash on hand and not solely rely on the cash in drawer feature.
