How do I get a replacement chip card reader?

I have a piece of hardware that isn’t working properly and I’ve akready taken it into Apple once. It’s the larger chip card reader that you stick a credit card into. I paid over $50 for it and it only has worked for a few months. How do I get a replacement?

Hello @Lisaduron, I'm sorry to hear that your Contactless and Chip Card Reader is giving you trouble.

Have you tried the Contactless and Chip Card Troubleshooting steps found in our Support Center?

Also are you having trouble pairing the reader to your phone or tablet?

I also need a replacement chip reader. I bought it directly from Square for $49 about 4 months ago. In order for it to work, you must really push the card into the reader. How can I speak to someone by phone....

To contact our Customer Success team by phone, you'll want to follow this link: squ.re/contact and go through the flow of trying to find your issue. If you click > I Don't See My Issue, it will give you an option to call our Customer Success team as long as you're logged in.
