how can I take a credit card number to secure a booking

When someone gives me a credit card to 'secure' a booking (they pay at time of service) - how do I do this and what's the correct way to store such CC information?

Also - what other devices, aside from an expensive I-Pad, are suitable for using as a square register - preferably not having to go online to do so. I have a massage company that sends therapists to homes / hotels to to out-call work. A larger monitor than a phone, and cheaper, yet which uses cell service (there's not always internet) is what I'm looking for. Thanks

Hello @Hamish5237!

Have you checked out our Card on File feature? This allows you to store a credit cards details so you can charge it at a later date.

It looks like you asked about devices on another thread already. The answer @VanKalkerFarms provided on that thread has a great link for seeing what devices are compatible with Square. In the future I recommend trying to avoid asking the same question in multiple places so we can keep the Community organized and easily searchable for other sellers. 🙂
