Is there a way to add a text answer to a specific modifier if selected?

On the website checkout is there a way to add a text answer to a specific modifier if selected? I run a film lab and for example one of my modifiers is for having film developed with different chemistry. If they say "yes, I would like my film developed with different chemistry," is there a way to make a pop up question say "what kind?" for example? Or do I just have to have a long list of more modifiers?

Just got off the phone with the support team and this is not a feature they have at this time.
