thread Alternatives to Accepting Deposits for Invoiced Services? in Archived Discussions (Read Only)

Hola!

The ONLY feature I miss about using PayPal invoices was the ability to determine and accept specific amounts for invoices.

For example;

My average invoice for website design services is $500. Most (new) clients feel more comfortable paying me 50% upfront and 50% when I close.

With PayPal I could simply toggle a box and input "$250" into the field and the client would only have to pay that amount. Once the services were completed they simply provide the remaining balance.

Right now I am basically creating two (2) separate invoices for each transaction.

I'm curious if anyone has a better way of doing this? I'm sure Square may be considering this for a future integration but until then, your input/ideas is much appreciated.

Thanks!

The Invoices team recently released a beta of a partial payments feature. Just comment on the thread to be added to the beta!
