Local School Fundraiser at Shop

Hello, we are having a local school fundraiser at our store. We are donating 10% of the sales when a customer mentions the High School. Does anyone have a way to track those sales in Square? I really don't want to hand write each total. I was thinking of creating a discount however we are not discounting their transaction. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you, Terri. Unfortunately, I am not asking for donations. I am trying to flag the sales when customers tell me they are from a local high school. I am donating back 10% of the total sales from that day when the school is mentioned at check out. I am trying to see if there is a way I can flag the sales and at the end of the day look at my report to see the total. I tried putting it in as a $0.00 and 0% discount but it will not let me. Thank you for the help.

Hey there @Cawampole

The best way to accomplish this is to create an item with the name of the School or something similar with no price. The price will be displayed as variable, however, you will be able to add it to any sale without adding a price. This way you will be able to track by item sold but without modifying the sale total.

I actually went in and added the school name as a dining option. If a customer says they are here for the school all my staff has to do is select it as a dining option then in my reports I can see the sales. Thank you again for this idea too.
