Using Square POS without invoices and I do not use the inventory feature. I use do use categories and items. I would like to be able to enter my item SKU when I ring up the transaction wihtout having to duplicate an entire inventory system. Is there a way to add a note to an item when rininging it up and enter my SKU. If so, then what report would I see it in?

Thanks

Welcome to the Seller Communty @mothernature!

If you like, you can add an SKU to an item from your Item library without entering an amount for 'Stock'. That way the SKU would be tied to the item and it might save you time at checkout.

But if you'd rather add a note to a sale you absolutely can! The steps to add a note to a sale from a smartphone or from a tablet are in the Support Center.

If a note is added to a sale you can view it from the Item Details csv report. Keep in mind notes also appear on your customer's receipt.

I hope this helps. If you have any other questions please let me know!
