@MMAkaratedo You have touched upon one of the enduring mysteries of Square discounts. I don’t know why, nor does anyone else that I know out here in seller land. For the record, I did some research on this board for other posts on this subject. There are more than a few and they all end the same way. There is no ability to apply $ discounts at the item level, only at the order level. There is no announcement or further movement indicated that this is coming soon. Square has taken it under advisement and is monitoring the situation.

The only solution I have for you is this. Let’s say that you are selling 3 items, one with a $1 discount, one with a $2 discount, one with a $3 discount. You can either have three discount codes ($1off, etc), or you can create an open dollar discount code that your employees can key the total amount of the discount to be applied. There is theoretically no limit to the number of discounts you can attach to an order, at least not one of which I am aware.

Sorry for the unsatisfactory answer overall. Hopefully my proposal gives you an idea of how you might configure it to work for you.

When you have two items A and B in the cart, you can choose $ and % discounts to be applied to the whole total price. But if you want to apply a discount ONLY to a specific item A, you can choose just a % discount. Why we can not apply $ amount discount to the individual item in the checkout page?

Thanks,

D.M
