Square Terminal - do you choose between the yearly/per mo cost or per swipe cost?

I am considering the Square Terminal for a new startup business, but we are very new and doing business at events rather than a storefront. I don't want to take on a montly cost for something that I use 6-8 times a year but I do like the terminal.

the fees are per transaction. you buy the equipment. fees are the same if you use it once or 10,000 times.

But if you are going to use it so infrequently might I suggest just using your phone or iPad and the free Square POS app and the $49 contactless reader

Hey @FusingLeslie - As @VanKalkerFarms stated, the only fees you are charged are for each payment that you process. There are no monthly or yearly fees unless you are financing your hardware purchase or you decide to subscribe to our other features such as Marketing or Loyalty.
