How do I set up loyalty program to only earn stars on certain items adding up to a set amount?

I've checked back a few times hoping an update would come on this but maybe it's an option and I just can't figure out how to do it. You can give a star per item purchased and you can give a star when a certain amount is hit but you can't do both. I want my loyalty program to only be on one specific item that ranges is price and don't want customers earning 10+ stars on $200+ accessories or other $100+ services that are occasionally rang up through the square register.

I want to make sure I have a good grasp on what you're looking for. You want to have your Loyalty points associated with specific items, but sometimes you have customers that come in and make a large purchase ordering multiples of a single item or service. Basically you want a cut off after a certain dollar amount?

Currently this would be a feature request for Loyalty.
