Delete Items and re-import items with different name and variant name

Need to replace the item name and the variant structure.

Currently each of the items in my library has a unique item name and a unique variant name.

Like:

ItemName:A1

- VariantName:A1

ItemName:A2

- VariantName:A2

What I want is:

ItemName:A

- VariantName:A1

- VariantName:A2

I tried to keep the original tokens and only modify the ItemName,

then the item library gave me:

ItemName:A

- VariantName:A1

ItemName:A

- VariantName:A2

They are still separated though they have the same item name.

Is there any way to fix that?

My thought is that I delete all the original tokens, and recreate the library in Excel then import it.

Will this impact the connection between the transaction and item library?

I checked in with our Retail team and they were able to provide some clarification on what you're seeing.

if you're referring to the CSV view of your item library, what you're describing is the only view we produce.

Each item variant is listed in a separate line in the CSV, with the same item name; so there's no way to change that on the CSV, but you'll find that in the Dashboard view the variants are grouped under the item name.
