thread Way to track charity donation / consignment sales separately? in Archived Discussions (Read Only)

This may be a long shot, but I'm wondering if there is a way to have a category of items in Square that does not count toward net sales. We sell a few items in our shop for local charitable organizations for a suggested donation, and we give 100% of sales (minus the transaction fees) to those groups. I'm wondering if there's a way we could put these in a specific category or apply some other treatment to them so that they don't show up in our net sales, since we're not acutally profiting from them at all. Thanks for your help!

Hey @roughdraftny!

There isn't a way to exclude certain sales from your reports but you could certainly track those sales in different ways to make it easier to identify them. You could create a category for those sales, or check out this post for more information about tracking sales by location, device or by employee.

In the meantime, I'll share your request with the Reporting team, I do see the need for this!
