Gift Card Manual Entry under Other

Under the Other Option, I used to be able to manually key in a Gift Card and Square would calculate the balance. Was this option removed? If not, how do I add it back? Currently, my employees are using a calculator to find the differences of either money due to us or balance left on their card. Thanks for your help.

Hey @Tiffmjs

Do you mean a Square Gift Card, a VISA/Amex Gift Card, or a third party or homemade Gift Card?

For a Square Gift Card, you can swipe it or there is a separate Payment Method option you can enable called Manual Gift Card Entry.

For a visa/Amex card, you would swipe it as normal.

For a third party / homemade gift card there is still the Other Gift Card or Certificate Payment Type option.

To access these, go into Settings on your POS and the first option should be Payment Types. Toggle on and off and reorder them as you need!
