Can you accept a payment for an invoice on the Square for Retail App?

I am new to Square for Retail and run a business that allows Special Orders. I am able to utilize the Invoices to run through the special order, however I was wondering if there was a way my staff could accept payment for an Invoice on the Square for Retail App? This would make the process with the customer much more efficient.

Hello @alvasllc!

To send/accept a payment for an Invoice you/your staff would need to open the Point of Sale app. It's not possible to do this from the Retail app yet, but we're working on it!

If you're using employee management you can enable the permission Manage and Create Invoices for your staff. When you apply this permission to an employee role they'll be able to create and accept payments for Invoices on the Point of Sale app. We'll let you know if it's possible to manage Invoices from the Retail app in future!

I have an update for you @alvasllc: You can now send and manage Invoices from the latest version of the Retail app (we're still working on the ability to add a payment to an invoice from Retail).
