How come our payroll schedule has to be the same as the work schedule? Most employees think of their work schedule in terms of Monday through Sunday, while most are use to getting paid every other Friday. The two cycles are not the same, yet only with you Square do they need to be in order to have shift data imported into Square Payroll. A data point is a data point, so the two schedules should not have to be the same in order for the correct payroll data based on hours worked to be imported.

Also, how is it that employees listed as salary are getting over time and double over time when their time cards are being imported? Or salaried employee isn't even clocking in or out. Just shaking my head here.

Hey @Caterina032 -

Yes it does!
If you subscribe to Square Payroll, Timecards are included in the price.

You do not get any other Employee Management features however. You would have to subscribe also to Employee Management to get the rest of those. Timecards overlap between Payroll and Employee Management.

This sounds like a good question for our Payroll team, @Leashless

They can take a look at your account with you to help shine a light here, as they are able to look at your account alongside you in order to pinpoint what's going on here and answer your questions regarding the schedule. Please reach out by phone when you have a moment by logging into your Square account and heading here.
