How to import library with multiple items each with multiple variations?

When importing a new inventory with multiple items, each with multiple variations, it is creating seperate items for each variation instead of just 1 item. I've tried downloading and re-uploading, adding descriptions to just the first item in the list, copying the item names to ensure they are identical and have not had any success. I have over 500 items so entering manually isn't a good option if avoidable.

That is pretty odd that it isn't accepting the items as variations.

The only thing I can say here is that you have to make sure that everything (including modifiers!) is exactly the same from variation to variation. Anything that makes the item unique will cause Square to make two items.

If you are doing this, your best bet would be to contact customer service so they can drill into the import process and see where the problem is lying.

Hello there @TheWigWam! Take a look at @ryanwanner's suggestion above. If you're still running into trouble with your import, please call into our Support team. Imports can be really tricky, and usually are easier to figure out if our team can impersonate your account and see what you're seeing!
