Payroll taxes are complicated and in general, you should always get advice from an accountant or Payroll specialist.

But in general, you pay the payroll taxes where the business is located. it does vary from state to state and some states have reciprocity.

here is a general payroll article but again you should talk to a person trained in this matter. https://gusto.com/framework/payroll/out-of-state-out-of-mind-payroll-tax-tips-for-out-of-state-employees/

My employee lives in a different county then where we are located. On her paystub we are only taking out local tax from where we work. No where she lives. Is this correct or should I also be taking out local tax from where she lives?
