Does Magstripe reader work outside the US?

If I purchase the magstripe reader at Best Buy and use it to to accept payments when I'm traveling outside the US, will it work? I ask because the app keeps asking me to activate my location services. I have a valid activated Square account I use without any problems so far.

You will not be able to use Square in any country besides the one where you set up your system. Square is currently processing credit cards in the following countries US, Canada, Japan, Australia, and the United Kingdom, but in those countries only if that's where you set up your account.
