If there a dynamic discount feature in Square for early payment?

Hi there,

I'm wondering if there's a dynamic discount feature in square that allows me to offer clients an early payment discount. Currently, my thought is that I would need to generate a negative line item and modify that after the five or fifteen day early pay date.

Hey @Ragdoll_Studio !

Great question!

Not sure if this is what you're looking for, but you can absolutely create a Variable Discount, where you can enter in the $Amount or %Amount for the discount when you're ringing them up.

When you create the discount (https://squareup.com/dashboard/items/discounts/new), give it the name you'd like, "Early Payment Discount", select if you want it to be % or $ off, and just leave the amount blank.

This way when you go to ring up the customer, and if you want to add that discount, you would enter in the Discount Amount at that point.
