Has anyone set up something like a "Founders Club" Card?

Hello,

I'm opening up a restaurant and would like to offer initial investors a "Founders' Club" benefit. For example, someone who invests $1,000 could redeem $100 in meals every month for a year.

Has anyone done this with Square gift cards? Can the cards be re-loaded every month? Any experience with something like this would be really helpful.

We do something similar in my store using the Square Gift Cards, but we don't limit them to a monthly "take" on the membership. Logistically, there's not an easy way to keep an eye on this short of pulling reports regularly and having a Yes/No type of spreadsheet printout hanging by the register... it'll be prone to errors and lead to a lot of frustrations on your and your customers sides.

Gift Cards can be reloaded at will: we have people who throw money on their card in a Prepaid fashion and use the card until the balance is zero, then reload it.

One idea for your founders club would be to offer a bonus for the initial payment. I'm doing one right now where the founder would get their investment plus 10% immediately on a gift card. That idea may work for you.
