How do you set up a coupon discount?

I need to set up an item for manufacturers coupons. I need sales tax added to the subtotal before the coupon comes off. How would i handle this?

Hi @allpetsupplies. It sounds you need to create a Discount - you can create dollar amount discounts or pre-set percentage discounts:

Dollar amount discounts will be applied to the total amount of the sale, before taxes.
Percentage discounts can be applied to an entire sale, or to a specific item only. Percentage discounts are also applied before taxes.
