thread Using a Micro USB extension cable for Square Stand in Archived Discussions (Read Only)

Our team likes to use the Square stands without cables most of the time. They are generally our for just a few hours and can be fully charged in advance. This means that the plugs that go into the bottom of the reader stand get destroyed and are frustrating to plug and unplug.

Would it be possible to use a Micro-usb male-femal extension cord between the cable for the stand and the stand itself without causing any problems? They would need to charge on their backs, but it would be easier to plug and unplug.

Hello @BobBrown, this is a really good question.

I don't think I've encountered another seller using an extension for the bottom of the stand. Nor have we tested something like this in the office. So we can't say for sure, but there's a possibility it might work.
