POS with Mobile Unit (Order 1st then charge)

Hello,

We recently opened a new mobile unit restaurant and have one POS with the Square Stand Kit with an Ipad Air. The ordering and checkout setup we have is as followed:

1. Customers make their order at the 1st mobile unit window with restaurant Employee 1

2. Customers waits in line to pay for order with Employee 2 (POS located here on 2nd window)

I am having problems with the communication of the orders with Employee 1 and Employee 2 (verbal communication) as far as what customers have ordered in order for Employee 2 know what to charge to the customer.

The ideal setup would be if we have a kitchen printer and POS where Employee 1 would enter the customer order; the customer moves forward to window 2 and Employee 2 can pull up the customer order and charge at the 2nd window. See process below for clarification:

1. Customer orders food plates with Employee 1

2. Employee 1 enters order at POS 1 and/or prints receipt (without charging the customer)

3. Customer moves forward to 2nd Window

4. Employee 2 pulls up order from customer (whether seen from a pre-order receipt or shown on POS Ipad) and charges customer with the items they rodered at the 1st window

Hey @puntacana! Welcome to the Community.

The best way to go about this would probably be to use our Open Tickets feature.

The first employee would enter the order and save the ticket - which sends it to the printer and then the second employee pulls up the same saved ticket to take the payment!

This should be super helpful based on how you have everything set up. Hope this makes things easier for you!
