How do I edit the title of an invoice from the Invoices app?

The title of this thread has been edited from the original: Titles in Invoices app can’t be done?

Am I missing something? There is no way to title an invoice with the Invoices app. You can title an invoice with the Square app, but not the app that focuses on invoices. Even if you duplicate an invoice that already has a title, you can’t access that title on the Invoices app. Instructions on the Swuare support day you can customize the invoice title, etc. but I can’t see how.

Hey @chazzy. You should be able to enter an Invoice Title from the Invoices app (as well as the Point of Sale app):

Tap Create Invoice > scroll down.
Below 'More Options' > you should see the Invoice Title field (in grey).
Tap on that field to enter a title.

If you're still not seeing this option can you reply here to let me know what type of device you're using the Invoices app on? I'll keep an eye out for your reply!

I’m on IOS with the latest version of the app. There is no More Options.

i did run the beta version of the app at one point before switching to the real one.

Hmm that's very strange. Can you try deleting and reinstalling the app on your iPhone? I wonder if you're still using the beta version so if you delete and reinstall the latest version from the App Store that should help.

I deleted the app then reinstalled.. and I noticed it was the same, there is no More Options.

Are you using the INVOICES app? Because your screenshot shows what I see on the actual SQUARE app.

Here is what I see:

So I decided to go one step further this time and hit Preview and Send (which is scary as I was afraid it would actually SEND it without asking first, but it didn't) and that's where I came up with this page:

Notice the No Title and the Edit link?

Well, when you click the Edit link you can then put a title!

OK... so it's a different process from the SQUARE app, but at least you can put a title!

A bit confusing, but at least you can do it! I might start using the INVOICES app now!

Aha! It looks like your device is newer than then one I had and we've updated the flow in the Invoices app — thanks so much for your screenshots!

I definitely see how you'd be reluctant to tap Preview and Send and I'll share your feedback with the Invoices team. I'll also let them know the steps to edit the title are somewhat buried now.

I've marked your answer as the Best Answer to help other sellers who notice the same thing (and so we can continue to gather feedback too!).
