Allocating Sales to Expo Position

We have a Bartender position, that we would like to allocate 3% of daily sales from each server to the credit card tips on a shift by shift basis. How can we do this automatically? For example, Employee A clocks in as Bartender, so in addition to their flat hourly rate, we would like to see 3% of each servers sales allocated to their pay.

Hello @wfcbaltimore, sorry for the late reply here! I asked our Payroll team for you and they confirmed that it's not possible to allocate sales this way with Square Payroll. You could manually calculate 3% of each servers daily sales and add that to your bartender's pay when you run payroll. This Support Center article has more information about pooling and splitting tips.

I can see how automatically allocating a percentage of sales to a specific memeber of staff would benefit a lot of businesses using Square Payroll! If it's possible to do this in future with Square Payroll we'll let you know here.
