How can I print my item list?

I have been adding items to my list and need to have a hard copy so I can re-check item # with the physical item. How can I get a hard copy of the items?

From the Square Dashboard, navigate to your Items screen, and in the top right corner there's a box labeled Actions. Click that, then click Export Your Library. It will ask what format of file you want, so make that choice and you'll get your complete item list. You will probably want to weed out a lot of the extra information before you print the list, but that's easily doable in a spreadsheet program.

Do your items have to be published first? I'm trying to get my items listed before I publish as the items go on sale starting Oct 4. The site shouldn't be visible until then. So, do I publish, export the items, and then unpublish?

I want a list of all items in each category for my consignment vendors. However when the list is compiled on a spread sheet it is every item in the store. Not just the category I asked for and it is not easy to sort through because it mixes up categories and there are hundreds of items to sort through and I shouldn't have to copy, cut and paste to get a list for a category. I need a separate list of inventory for each category (50 approx) that I can print or at least email. Any suggestions? I have struggled with this since I started using square.

Sign in to your Square Dashboard - from home page Click Items - then on the Right side of the screen click the Drop down at Actions. Select Export Library. Then you can open your Items Library with a CSV program such as Excel or Google Sheets. You can also use those programs to sort your library for printing. Follow instructions for the CSV editor for printing. This printout could be very long depending how many items you have.
