Hello,

Many of the items we sell are not made until the customer orders them. We didn't have a problem with this on our old website as it wasn't connected to our store in any way. I've set up the products I want to sell on line and set up the customization options. But when a customer tries to buy it they get the message that it is out of stock and they can't add it to the cart. It is not possible to stock every conceivable variation of each item we sell.

How to I set up the online store to sell items that will not be built until the customer orders them.

You can turn off Inventory Management in the POS and this should allow you to bypass that.

Go to your Item Library > Click in an item and see if you have Item Tracking enabled. This should allow you to just sell an item regardless of the quantity "in stock".
