thread Is there a way to only apply only the highest discount instead of doubling up discounts? in Archived Discussions (Read Only)

For example we offer a $2.00 discount on 4 bottles or more and a $6.00 discount on 6 bottles or more. At 10 bottles it is applying both discounts.

Is there a way to make that not happen other than removing the additional discount manually each time it happens?

Hey @dmcleod. Thanks for joining the Seller Community!

Regrettably, that's expected behavior. If you have more than one automatic discount enabled for the same category, the discount will apply accordingly to the rules you have set up. There's not a way for the system to override the lower discount.

You could probably create manual discounts and apply them to transactions manually when your customers are purchasing 4 and 6 bottles. The automated discounts are definitely helpful in that they take away the "thinking", but in your scenario, they're just not built out to override one another.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have questions!
