Square Point of Sale connecting to Square for Restaurants

I have been using Square Point of Sale in my Fast Casual restaurant since 2015. I have used readers at offsite events with those sales being rung up under their own category so I can see them apart from the restaurant sales. I'm considering switching to Square for Restaurants. Will I still be able to run sales offsite and have them add into my account, or do I have to download the app into a mobile device? I have no need for the app features at events, just processing a sale.

Sure can @Muddaddy!

You're still able to run offsite sales using the Standard POS app even if you've upgraded to Square Restaurants. All transactions will still funnel into your account and report under your Categories Sales.
