Square Terminal - Create Custom Checkout Screen?

Hello! I have looked all over for this answer to no avail, however we have just received our Square Terminal and it looks very promising.

We will be using this in our bar area at our restaurant, however, due to the size of the menu, our bar only sells a few specific items. It slows our staff down trying to find each item to add to open tickets within the library.

Is it possible to create a custom item screen like in Square POS so that we can select a few items for sale from that particular station within the Square Terminal?

An obvious hack would be to create a category just with those needed items, however this would disrupt our Alcohol & Beverage reporting within square to re categorize items.

Hey @jasonbrumb!

As far as I know- the only way would be to create a category for those items so you're correct on that.

I'm gonna reach out to our Restaurants team to see if there's any other options I'm not aware of. Hang tight!

@jasonbrumb Okay so I reached out to our Restaurants team and they said unfortunately on the Terminal- you would be limited to categories.

Display groups as menu organization is available on Square Restaurants but Restaurants isn't available on the Terminal.

You can get Restaurants if you were working off an iPad instead.
