Adding items (not just services) to an appointment when using web interface to book

I need to be able to add services AND ITEMS to new appointments when I book them for customers. I can do this when using the appointments app on my android or my ipad without issue, but apparently no option exists when using the web interface? This is silly and cumbersome. Am I missing something?

Hi @handybikes! The ability to add items to appointments on the Dashboard has been a feature request for awhile. However- I just checked in with our Appointments Product team and, good news! This is being actively worked on and you should be able to have this function soon. I don't have an exact timeline, but just know it's coming!
