Trying to find an inventory valuation report and product categories comes up blank?

I have been putting our inventory in square, but haven't been able to see the value of my inventory. The report keeps coming up blank..any ideas would be appreciated.

Hi @jsmiley1960 -

Welcome to the Community!

You should be able to access that report through your Reports tab in your Dashboard. If the report is showing up blank, double check the date range you have selected.

It will usually will show the information for today, so it would have to be changed.

Hi,

I'm new to Square and the answer to the original question is not clear to me. In the Reports, almost all are geared to Sales, which means Transactions for a specified period of time.

I'm looking for a valuation report for a Snapshot in Time. How much do I have on hand on any given day. It seems the only way is to export the Items to Excel and then let Excel do the math (Unit Price x Qty) and then sum up.

Is that correct? No easier report?

Hey there, @unitycenterbook -

You're correct, that is the only way to do that in the standard Point of Sale. If you're looking for more detail Inventory Reports, then you'd need to consider a Square for Retail Subscription.

There are different tiers you can look into, but that's the next best option for the reports you're looking for.

Im sorry, not sure why I upgrade to Square retail? I upgraded because I thought i could run detailed inventory reports? I need a report that shows cost of each item and the number of Items on hand at any given moment?

i need to be able to put item cost in, which is part of Square retail, but i need an inventory report, again, that shows the individual item cost and amount on hand.

This should be a standard inventory report - at least it is on any other POS system ive use in the past.

please advise?
