How do I run a report on a specific category?

How do I run a report on a specific category. It would be ideal if the report would include Gross Sales, returns, discounts and comps, net sales, taxes and square fees all associated with the particular category.

Hi @Polishedpeacock

Thank you for posting and welcome to the community. We might have something that could help.

After logging into your dashboard online, please go to Reports > Category Sales. After getting to the page where your sales are showing underneath the colored line graph, scroll to the right and click on the grey "+" icon to bring up an options menu. From here, select the different statistics you would like to appear in this report, and export it to a CSV/Excel sheet.

Thanks for taking the time to help. I tried what you posted. It does not give me the option to select the particular category I want to run the report on.

Hey @Polishedpeacock,

Thank you for reaching back out. I do see what you mean now. It will definitely show you each category, but we don't have a way of filtering out the other categories also present. Our product teams are constantly looking through our seller's feedback to make necessary improvements. We appreciate it and if there is ever an update addressing this, we will be the first to let you know.

If I have multiple item categories, how can I run a report for just that specific category?

Hi @jennkenn, thanks for your post and welcome to the Community 🙂

In order to achieve a report with an individual category you would need to download the full category report > Reporting > Reports > Category Sales > Filter > Export, and then delete the categories you don't need.
