I am interested in using Square Payroll to pay myself, but I do not have a regular payroll schedule because I don't know when I will get paid by my clients and my pay amount is always different. Is there a way to get payroll checks "on demand"? Basically I need a solution with flexibility on how frequently and how much I pay myself.

Hi @stacieb!

I'd suggest setting up a weekly pay cadence to start. Once you process your first weekly payroll, you can choose to not pay yourself on the weeks when there's nothing to pay (the runs will just be marked as "empty"). Additionally, you can always run an off-cycle run at no additional cost. Since your pay fluctuates, you can also just set yourself up with an hourly pay rate of $0, and enter the gross pay amounts into each payroll directly.
