Discount for new subscribers, never visited

In my customers tab, I've created a hosted signup page and added the button to my website. I'm offering an introductory discount if they subscribe to my monthly newsletter. I've looked at Square Marketing to automate emails for new customers, but it appears they need to have at least 1 visit; the newsletter subscribers have 0 visits. Does anybody know of a way to achieve this as an automated campaign?

Since I'm offering them an intro discount, I don't want them to wait until the beginning of the next month to receive the special.

I appreciate you providing a hefty amount of context to your question! It's helpful when trying to gauge what you are looking for specifically.

After doing some research in regards to rewards through Marketing, it looks like the ability to give a discount to first-time visitors is currently considered a Feature Request. However, I am more than happy to leave this post here within the General Discussion board to see if any other Sellers can provide any helpful workarounds or ideas.

Hopefully, we get some traction going on this post. I will keep an eye out for any replies!
