Donate discount

Hi everybody...Square newbie here. I'm setting up a 'book online' option for my inspection and notary services company. I offer a 10% discount to Veterans and 1st Responders (Law Enforcement/Fire/EMT). I want to be able to offer to them the ability to donate their discount to a charity my company supports. I was attempting to put in a -10% on the discounts page that they could select the donation entry and it would flag it to add it back in, but note to me that it's a donation. However, it doesn't like a 'negative' discount (I guess it views it as a mark-up?) Any ideas on how I can make this happen?

Hmm, here's a possible work around.

Set up your 10% Discount item, and also create a $0 item called Donation.

When they want the discount, you add the 10% Discount item.

When they want to donate the 10% back, you add the $0 item called Donation.

You'd have to later manually calculate 10% of the transaction to see how much the donation would actually end up being, but by adding a $0 item called Donation, you can easily filter for transactions with the Donation through the Transaction tab on the Web Dashboard, and not affect the price of the sale.

Whooops - I just noticed you said Online Bookings - All of this was for in-person on POS/Register, not sure how this would work for online bookings & orderings

I think I got that....thanks for your response! Might be a couple weeks yet, making a lot of updates to the site, but I'll let you know how it works out! Thanks for replying!
