Recently acquired a business-is there a way to transfer/upload the transaction or sales history

We recently purchased a small retail business.

The previous owner has graciously allowed us access to their account so we can get the transaction history and sales history.

Is there a way to import any of this information so that we can compare sales by month versus last year?

We were able to transfer the items.

Hi there, @Rusted 👋 Welcome here to the Seller Community! We are happy to have you around. We hope this space can prove useful as you look to grow your business with Square.

While item inventory and customer directories have the ability to be uploaded onto your account from other Square accounts, the action of uploading a history of past transactions remains a Feature Request. For security purposes, we see a good amount of risk in adding the ability to backdate transactions. Our software is pretty 'black and white' - meaning that transactions have a permanent timestamp that reflect when and how they were taken. It's a "what you see is what you get,"

approach that helps keep our environment safe for Buyers and Sellers alike.

With that being said, we are always looking for ways to improve the Square experience for our Merchants - and there have been quite a few Sellers who have asked for this ability. Should this feature change down the road, we will be sure to reach back out here and let you know!
